1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BookEngineers.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must cease use immediately.

2. Platform Role & Disclaimer

BookEngineers operates strictly as a directory and discovery platform connecting Clients with independent Engineers. We do not provide engineering services directly, nor do we act as an employer, agent, or contracting party. We verify credentials to the best of our ability but make no warranty regarding the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by independent Engineers. You release BookEngineers from any liability arising from agreements, payments, or work conducted between you and other users.

3. User Conduct

• You agree not to use the platform for any illegal purpose or to solicit illegal services.
• Direct Engagement: Clients and Engineers are free to connect directly via the provided contact information. BookEngineers does not govern your external contracts or communication.
• Professionalism: Harassment, hate speech, or unprofessional conduct is strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension.

4. Intellectual Property

Engineers retain their own intellectual property unless agreed otherwise in a specific contract with the Client directly. BookEngineers claims no ownership over user-generated projects or deliverables.

1. Data Collection

We collect information you provide directly: Name, Email, Phone Number, Professional Credentials, Profile Avatars, and Subscription Payment Information (processed via secure gateways). We also collect automated data via cookies and analytics to improve our services.

2. Use & Display of Information

Your data is used to: Verify your identity, manage subscriptions, and maintain platform security. For Engineers, your selected contact details (such as phone number and email) may be displayed publicly on your profile to allow Clients to reach you directly, based on your privacy settings.

3. Data Sharing

Service Providers: We share essential payment data with our payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay/Stripe) strictly for processing subscription renewals. We do not sell your personal data to third-party advertisers.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.

1. Premium Subscriptions

• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future auto-renewals.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused months once a subscription fee has been charged.

2. Independent Project Disputes

Since BookEngineers does not process project payments or hold fees in escrow, any financial disputes regarding incomplete work, cancellations, or deliverables must be resolved directly between the Client and the Engineer.

1. Digital Delivery

"Delivery" on our platform refers to the digital activation of your Premium Subscription features immediately upon successful payment.

2. Engineering Services

The delivery of actual engineering plans, site visits, or reports is coordinated entirely offline or via third-party digital channels between the Client and the Engineer.

1. Platform Subscriptions

Payments made on BookEngineers are solely for optional Premium profile subscriptions or platform advertisements. All payments are securely processed via Razorpay or Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. No Project Commission or Escrow

BookEngineers does not charge commission fees on your engineering projects, nor do we offer an escrow service. All project-related payments, advances, and final settlements must be handled directly between the Client and the Engineer.

3. Taxes

Engineers are solely responsible for invoicing their clients, collecting applicable GST/taxes, and reporting their own income to the relevant tax authorities.
