1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BookEngineers.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must cease use immediately.

2. Platform Role & Disclaimer

BookEngineers operates strictly as a marketplace connecting Clients with independent Engineers. We do not provide engineering services directly. We verify credentials to the best of our ability but make no warranty regarding the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by independent Engineers. You release BookEngineers from any liability arising from agreements between you and other users.

3. User Conduct

• You agree not to use the platform for any illegal purpose.
• Non-Circumvention: Clients and Engineers must not transact off-platform for jobs discovered here. Doing so may result in permanent account suspension.
• Professionalism: Harassment, hate speech, or unprofessional conduct is strictly prohibited.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless agreed otherwise in a specific contract, Engineers retain the initial IP rights to their designs until full payment is received from the Client, at which point rights may transfer as per the agreement.

1. Data Collection

We collect information you provide directly: Name, Email, Phone Number, Professional Credentials, and Payment Information (processed via secure gateways). We also collect automated data via cookies and analytics.

2. Use of Information

Your data is used to: Verify identities, facilitate project bookings, process payments, and improve platform security. We do not sell your personal data to third-party advertisers.

3. Data Sharing

Service Delivery: Essential contact details are shared between Client and Engineer only after a booking is confirmed.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.

1. Appointment Cancellations

• 24+ Hours Notice: Full Refund (100%).
• 4-24 Hours Notice: 50% Refund (to compensate the Engineer's reserved time).
• < 4 Hours Notice: No Refund.

2. Project Disputes

For milestone-based projects, funds are held in Escrow. If a dispute arises, BookEngineers offers a mediation service. Refunds are issued based on evidence of work delivered vs. requirements. Our decision in arbitration is final.

1. Mode of Delivery

Deliverables (Plans, Reports, Consultations) are transferred digitally via the platform or delivered in-person at the agreed site location.

2. Acceptance

Clients have 7 days to review delivered files. If no issue is reported, the milestone is marked complete and funds are released to the Engineer.

1. Secure Transactions

All payments are processed securely via Stripe or Razorpay. BookEngineers does not store credit card numbers.

2. Payouts to Engineers

Earnings are available for withdrawal after a 5-day security clearing period following project completion. Engineers are responsible for reporting their own income taxes.

3. Platform Fees

BookEngineers charges a service fee on transactions to maintain the platform, verification systems, and support. This fee is clearly displayed before payment.
